The Italian government is relaunching the Messina Bridge project, which with the publication in the Official Gazette of Law No. 197/2022 reassumes the status of a priority work of pre-eminent national interest in the context of the Trans-European Transport Network. The roadmap provides that the state of liquidation of Società Stretto di Messina S.p.a. to March 30, 2023 will be lifted, and the company’s capital strengthening has been arranged with a 50M Euro financial initiation by Italian Railways and Anas. This will be followed by the adjustment of the financial plan and consequent approvals in order to resume the executive process. A demanding process that will test all the subjects and bodies in charge.
